PERTAMINA PREPARES INFRASTUCTURE AND FUEL SUPPLY AHEAD OF PRICE ADJUSTMENT



PT Pertamina (Persero) makes preparations to ensure a smooth supply of fuel (BBM) to meet the needs of the community ahead of plan on subsidized fuel price adjustment policy.
               
This was state by Marketing and Commercial Director of Pertamina, Hanung Budya, during a visit to Plumpang Fuel Terminal, North Jakarta on Thursday (June 20) to check the readiness of infrastructure and fuel supply.
               
For information, the average consumption of Premium gasoline in the last 5 days reached 23% above the daily off take thruput (DOT – 80,000 KL/ day), while diesel fuel is approximately 13% above DOT (43,000 KL/day). The consumption of premium gasoline reached its peak on Tuesday (June 18) at around 100,000 KL or approximately 25% above DOT.
               
Pertamina also adds fuel tankers adjusted to the increase of demand to ensure a smooth distribution of fuel. In addition, coordination with the security forces to support vital means of securing vital objects of fuel and LPG distribution means is also improved.
               
“Pertamina as one of fuel distributors is ready to distribute subsidized fuel in accordance with the needs of the community so there will be no queues at the gas stations. Command and Control Center (Puskodal) for monitoring and securing fuel distribution across the country has also been actively working since May 17, 2013. Meanwhile, for public conditioning, various acts of socialization associated to fuel price adjustment plan has also been performance”, said hanung.
               
Regarding operational technical readiness, Hanung said that preparation of a new price setting on MySAP system has been carried out properly and coordination with banks to change the settings of deposits of distributing institutions. Fuel terminals and gas stations are ready to operate longer than normal days, and if necessary can operate for 24 hours.
               
“Pertamina also prepares bags of fuel at traffic congestion points so that fuel delivery can be done fastly and responsively”, he said. (E)
