FUND OF RP85 – RP110 TRILLION NEEDED FOT BUILDING INFRASTRUCTURE IN 2014



The Ministry of Public Works ( PU ) was expecting increase of allocated budget in APBN State Budget between Rp.85 – Rp110 trillionfor infrastructure building including OU of around Rp529.2 – Rp740.8 trillion. The hope was expressed by the Minister of Public Works PU, Joko Kirmanto open opening a regional consultation session of the Ministry of PU on Jakarta on Tuesday [26/21].

The need for funding infra structure which came to Rp740.8 trillion was to support economic growth of 2014 which was targeted at around 7% - 7.7%, unemployment which was projected to lessen by around 5%-6% and proverty to lessen by 8% - 10%, GDP which came to USD 1 – 2 trillion and increased income rising to the level of USD 4,800 – USD5,000 per capita.

With budget of around Rp529.2 – Rp740.8 trillion Djoko was expecting to undertake task in Water Resource tapping to accomplish building of eigth reservoir lakes of the 11 lakes targeted, whereby to support self reliance in food and to fulfill need for clean water.

In Bina Marga efforts would be focused on building strategic trans-coastal road in the Sumatra, Trans Sourthern Coast in Java and in borderline zones including building of toll roads which were hancicappedby land clearing problems.

In creative construction [ Cipta Marga ]budget would  be allocated for promoting national drinking water projects which was today still at 56% to become 67% in 2014. Budget was also allocated for buiding Rusunawa apartments and wastage management.

Djoko stressed that in scheming up programs it was necessary to observe institutional readiness of each working unit, workshop, and task force including preparation of capacity building therein. “ By this integration, in the future there will be no more PU infrastructure and settlements whish could not be benefited and accomplished, due to hindrances of social problems or land procuremenrt problems or lack of continued support in the regions of obstacles related to environmental problems “ Djoko remarked.
