“The development of these industry centers are recommended to use green technology or low carbon technology,” he said. the concept of green industry is that it prioritizes efficiency in the production process with the following characteristics: use of materials, energy, and water with low intensity; use alternative energy; waste minimization and fulfillment of environmental quality standard; use of low-carbon technologies and component human resources. The implementation of green industry through the use of low carbon technologies will impact energy, water and raw materials saving. It will also increase productivity and generate less waste,” he said.

The acceleration of this strategic industry is because Indonesia argues that its imports are still much higher than exports. Therefore, the Ministry of Industry encouraged ICT, software and multimedia content industry. “One of the efforts is by requiring importers to establish industries in the country within a maximum period of three years,” he said. In the next phase, 2016 – 2020, the target is that the manufacturing industry and domestic ICT component industry should be able to meet the domestic market and the development of the role of the content and applications industry domestically and regionally.

And, from 2021 until 2025, animation, content and applications industries are encouraged in order to have high competitiveness in the global market and manufacturing industry and national ICT component industry have been able to compete in the export market.
