Meeting between the Working Committee of Commission of House and the
Government represented by the Minister of BUMN Dahlan Iskan had agreed the
magnitude of state’s capitalization [PMN] for BUMN. Two BUMN’s having their PMN
approved were PT Askrindo and Perum Jamkrindo. In Chapter 17 article [3] of law
no 19/2012 allocated PMN was Rp 2 trillion. The breakdown was Perum Jamkrindo getting
Rp 1,120 trillion or 56% and PT Askrindo got Rp 880 billion or 44%.
The meeting which was led by Chairman of Commission VI of House
Airlangga Hartanto on Monday [8/4] stipulated to size of capitalization being
stipulated according to law no 19/2012 on APDB 2013. The formula for magnitude
of PMN was formerly already discussed at the Working Committee of Commission VI
of House and two directors of BUMN, attended by Deputy of Financial Affairs
Ministry of BUMN. Minister of BUMN Dahlan Iskan stated his approval of the said
proportion. There was no more hindrance or argument when Chairman of Commission
VI of House asked for approval of the Minister of BUMN.
The agenda of Commission VI of House also heard response of the Ministry
of BUMN in relation to PT Indonesia Aluminium [Inalum] where change of
ownership took place. Previously Commission VI of House held meeting with the
Board of Directors of PT Inalum to discuss company’s performance and transfer
of ownership. Hence the meeting with the Ministry of BUMN was expected to
explain all matters discussed by Commission VI of House.
PT Merpati was having a dilemma of business between liquidation and
revitalization. The stance of BUMN Minister Dahlan Iskan was about Merpati Airline
was rated as being hesitant and unclear. The reply of the BUMN Minister at the
meeting with Commission VI of House was rated as unsatisfactory. This was
stated by member of Commission of House, Nasril Bahar as Commission VI of House
held meeting with Minister of BUMN Dahlan Iskan on Monday [8/4].
Commission VI of House was getting tired of the BUMN Minister’s
indecision. Even as the meeting started there was no firm ministrial decision
for Merpati and it had its effect on Merpati employees and performance of the
BUMN Minister. The BUMN Minister was expected to be firm and be responsible in
making decisions. Merpati Airline was not a political commodity, Merpati was part of a BUMN problem which was
long and dragging. (SS)
