Minimum wage to rise average 10.3%: report

Indonesia will raise the mandated minimum wage for 2008 by an average of 10.3% through provincial-level governments, Investor Daily reported. Only 19 out of 33 provinces have so far decided to implement the increase, the report quoted Manpower Minister Erman Suparno as saying. He said that on average, the new minimum wage is equal to 93.5% of the standard for fair living, up from 87.9%t recorded in 2007. (http://www.ekon.go.id)
