Business License will be issued if the company joins the Jamsostek Program

The Government of DKI Jakarta requires receipt of the participant of manpower social insurance program (Jamsostek) as one of the supporting documents to apply for business license (SIUP) and organization and supervision of building (P2B) in Jakarta area (Bisnis Indonesia, 23 January 2008). According to Rohana Manggala, assistant of Public Welfare of DKI Jakarta, Jamsostek program is a must for every company because this program is one of employee's rights. Further, Jamsostek program is a protection for employee for the risk of jobless. Therefore, for all companies domiciled in Jakarta which do not participate with Jamsostek program yet, it is suggested to join with the program for the sake of business license interest.
